Inhibited by the idea of my neighbours hearing my voice acting efforts, I made the attached. What do you think? It is made from special soundproofing foam. I simply stick it on my head and slip a mic inside. Then I can yell my dialogue without feeling self-conscious.

LOL !! Great Idea ....

But I'm guessing it works the other way to ..... I can imagine a family member walking in your room and seeing you sitting or standing there with a box on your head acting out your dialog .... Now that would get some hits on you tube

Or Men with White coats knocking on your door ..

I tried muting my mother (good title for a sit-com) but her nagging remained audible. We should both co-write a paper: "High-Grade Accoustic Foam vs Nagging". Trouble is, it's that very nagging input that keeps us alive, at least at its source.

lol great idea but how is the sound? i think maybe you might sound like "in a tube"? i have built a recording booth for my music and i am happy with the sound. but i also have a good microphone at the moment so a padded booth is useful. and yes... when you are making music and or also voice acting you can not avoid your neighbours witnessing this. don't care and tell them to move away

Usually when I've done recording in bro's studio, we have a large sheet at the back of the microphone, don't have to have a booth but if it helps
