@UNIRD12B

I'm a little late to the party, but if you're still having problems running GameGuru I suspect a graphic card issue.

What are the card specs on both the machines you are attempting to run on? You must have a minimum 1gb card and ideally 2gb.

If you card is within this range, you may need to update your card drivers.

Maybe it's a problem with Windows 7..? Is there some sort of compatibility mode or something that you can try..?

Edit: Hmmm...this is odd. Thought I'd try out the new version and have found that when testing a map using the rocket icon that I can't exit the test mode. Pressing the ESC key does noting. All the other keys appear to be working fine. The only way I can exit is to CTRL+ALT+DEL and select Task Manager, it then hangs for a bit and then Vista gives me an error. Then it closes the test map and brings me back to the editing thingummybob.

I've tried restarting Reloaded and still no dice. Anyone else had this problem..?

Another Edit: Has something to do with Data Execution Permission, I get this when I click on the error message that pops up on the Taskbar where the Windows clock is:

Quote: "What is Data Execution Prevention?

Data Execution Prevention (DEP) is a security feature that can help prevent damage to your computer from viruses and other security threats. Harmful programs can try to attack Windows by attempting to run (also known as execute) code from system memory locations reserved for Windows and other authorized programs. These types of attacks can harm your programs and files.

DEP can help protect your computer by monitoring your programs to make sure that they use system memory safely. If DEP notices a program on your computer using memory incorrectly, it closes the program and notifies you."

I'm using Windows Vista Ultimate x64 Ultimate Editionl if that helps.

Yet Another Edit: Looks like it was a problem with memory management, I had Photoshop, SketchUp, Acrobat Reader and GIMP all open at the same time. Weird though because I have 8GB of RAM so shouldn't have a problem as far as I'm aware.

FYI - to all those that tried to help me[...THX

@scenecommander and others........

WOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOO

I finally figured it out.
OK.,..if your getting weird errors and the game stalls and wont allow you to exit
without using ctrl-alt-del
then next time,,,BEFORE you try to start the game DISABLE all your anti-virus software
UNTIL gameguru starts and then once its up , you can restart your antivurus and all will function.

its surely NOT a final fix BUT at least you can use the game engine in the meantime
until a full fix is figured out.
The program doesn't seem to do this will all anti-virus software as many of you have no problems at all.
BUT mine....that comes from ROGERS cable identifies one of the dlls as a virus and so quarantines it.

woohoo so happy now I can play too....
