I've noticed that FPSC-x10 has a domain name pointer still that points to a page that shows the product is no longer supported. Which makes sense... but what kind of bothers me is that FPSC-x9 no longer has any domain name pointers to the actual product which is quite active still. It points to FPSC-Reloaded. As someone that makes games using x9 and also produces media content for FPSC-Classic its sad to see that there is very few links that direct people now to FPSC-Classic meaning it will quickly lose its popularity and I find our efforts so far using the engine may become a waste or only visible to a very small community. Even more so now that fpscreator.com points to fpscreator reloaded and not fpsc classic. I understand we are trying to heavily promote it but FPSC-classic is still a working product that is very much alive and i dont think it should get buried.

What is everyones thoughts around this?

My thought is that this is not a simple promote, Reloaded become the main product of TGC over AGK, DBP, FPSC, they put all they resources in to Reloaded right now. And now they want to redirect as many TGC users and new comers to Reloaded as possible because they need a community to support it. FPSC the most popular product of TGC, but Reloaded, easily can be the future of the company or already is. So even if X9 get buried, that because Reloaded is going to be awesome I would say X9 must be buried just like DarkBasic Classic was.

I agree I can see Reloaded being the future for sure. but that requires all possible features and functions that Classic had, be put into reloaded for me to at least feel content to say goodbye to FPSC Classic. This includes all community MOD features as well.

I hope that all things previous are looked.

i disagree zigi, they just released new asset packs for fpsc not reloaded. they are not as useable in reloaded on the whole either.. even though you get 10 classics packs for gold pledger they are for the most part just used for scenery items. from what i gather the characters dont and possibly wont in the long run be compatible without mods to them, so fpsc x9 should still be available for sometime yet at least 6months to a year while reloaded is finished off and running the way it should. but thats just my opinion.

also im sure the community will support reloaded lots of people seem to be waiting on it to be released in the next couple of days but also im sure many of those people are already community members with x9 and x10 under their belts who would also still like to finish off and add to their work with it too.

in short my opinion is x9 should be buried when reloaded can be shown to be better and have the asset packs available to make x9 no longer needed, to do this reloaded should be out as a non beta anymore or very close to it anyways

Is it not possible to get FPSC x9? Is there some legality that says you can't get it anymore? If not, does anyone know where it can be downloaded? I thought x9 was a community built version of classic and that should mean there would be a community web site to support it, but I can't find anything as of yet.

You are welcome.
Check out Nomad mod also for updated shaders. He did a great job in updating them to give unified lighting across dynamic and static objects.
