Great, I thought it was related to distance somehow.
Coming from Unity, I thought it was weird for the system to stop working as scripts attached to GameObjects/Entities always execute for the life of the object.
Any ideas as to why it's implemented that way?
How would I get the camera to alert me to the presence of an enemy within view of the camera?
