Hi all

I have a piece of chain link fence that I'd like to make into a door, but I am unable to change it's static field. It is set to "static hull" and there are no other options.

Would this even be possible, as none of the other premade doors really fit my need.

Thanks!

Select your object, go to the General tab on the right side, go to the Static Mode dropdown and select Physics On instead. Then untick Affected by gravity and ensure IsImmobile is set to Yes. Then you can attach your door behavior.

Static Hull and the like are only for collision purposes and don't make a model ready to be used with Behaviors. In order to use a Behavior with an object, it must be a physics object and not a static object (and that's controlled by the Static Mode dropdown and not the Collision Shape dropdown).

you need to change from static hull first before it will let you change to physics on / off.
i.e. set the collision mode to box or something else.
