Hi all

I created a warehouse type building in the editor and have placed it in my level.

When I go and try to raise the building up, as I want a little concrete slab under it, the building and the terrain it's sitting on raise up.

Is there a way I can place the building in the level but not have it "stick" to the ground so that I can raise it to place on another cube shaped object?

turn off auto-flatten mode, unfortunately i don't know if there is a shortcut key for it in max (used to be U in classic) so you will need to place your first building on some ground that you don't mind getting messed up, then turn off auto-flatten and move it to the desired place

Thanks smallg but I don't have that option showing in GGMax.

That option is available if I use a stock GGMax building but it doesn't seem to appear when I add a building I made in the building editor, as I can't see to set it to Static.

Thanks

Don't use EBE so can't help you with it, but you can try in the fpe file as follow:
autoflatten = 1 or autoflatten = 0 depending what you want to achieve.

When in MAX, go to Edit>Settings from the top menu bar. A pop will appear called Settings. On the first tab (General), look under Editor Options. Toward the bottom is a tick box called "Auto flatten terrain under large objects". Untick that.
