I've been trying to write a script using existing behaviours as a starting point, however I am finding it really difficult, I am doing things blindly, can't find anything about scripting on the official guide, the closest I found is an unofficial website called script-guru but most functions are not documented and I'm not even sure if those are still used in ggmax or they were deprecated.
There is a post from 2018 with an API for notepad++ which again, not sure if something has changed for ggmax since then, but thought I would give it a try anyway, I downloaded the xml file and followed the instructions, but it doesn't work and as far as I know I did everything right, so I guess that my question is, how are you guys doing it?
There has to be something I'm missing, as a disclaimer I am not a programmer, I have coded in gml (a proprietary programming language for gamemaker studio) and c# in unity but I am not a programmer, maybe I am too used to those tools having APIs and just need to get used to a different way of doing things, please let me know.
