Just started using Game Guru Max and I am loving it so far. I have noticed two things with enemy and allied characters. If I have an ally next to my character and we are behind a building, the ally sees the enemy and the enemy sees the ally through the walls and they start shooting. Also, if you have an ally character with you, and a hostage character, the ally character shoots the hostage. Is this a bug? Is there any way to fix this?

@Pink Panther Right now hostages are set up as enemies, so the ally will shoot them. Hopefully, this will be fixed in RPG when it comes.

Let me explain, the behavior that the hostage uses is set up as an enemy behavior, for now, so they can run away from you when you release them.

For the enemy and ally shooting each other through the wall, You would need to post that as a bug on Github

Have you tried setting up the hostage as neutral, rather than an enemy?

Thanks Shadow_Master for your response.
3com, If I set the hostage as neutral he just remains kneeling in the hostage position.

Ouch .. I have not tried it but that is a bug for sure or overlooked at least
Yes Prisoners have to be set as enemy to work at the moment.

@synchromesh, It is not a bug I wish it was, Lee set it up that way so the hostage would run away to safety. However, I do agree that you should be able to set it as an ally, enemy, or even neutral depending on your game. Hopefully, this will be updated when RPG comes to Max which I am waiting patiently for lol

The ally use, once you release the hostage, they can help you defeat enemies.
The neutral use, they can give you information about the enemy camp.
The enemy use, well I have not figured out a good use for hostage under that title except shooting them since they run away and do not do anything useful lol

As i said its a either bug or oversight .. Ally's should not shoot the hostage you just saved.
seems stupid to me .. So its either an oversight or unfinished ... Or a bug if it is considered finished.
I just suggested reporting it either way .

It looks like a bug as well, in either way he should stand and go, never may if he is enemy, ally, or neutral, though.
As synchro pointed out above it should be reported to GitHub.
