Hi all, i'm curious what the settings should be for a converted heightmap.

I've tried imageJ, darktable/Gimp and Gimp itself to convert a heightmap in to raw image data but so far i get the message in GGM that the file is not the correct format.

Thanks.

Hi Granada, importing a PNG is no problem but Lee mentioned in the live broadcast that the recommended format is raw data because it is natively supported and 16/32 bit high resolution detail.
He mentioned ImageJ as a tool to convert those PNG files into raw data format.
Though i've used that tool to convert a PNG, i might not be using the right settings because i'm getting the message that the raw data file is not in the correct format.

.png works, just make sure your image matches the sizes you can set in max (i.e. 1024x1024, 2048x2048 or 4096x4096)

We know that we can count on you.

I've found the problem, i had to tick the box 'save tiff and raw in intel byte order' under options input/output.
Now i'm able to create those raw files and import them, in GGM select little endian when importing the raw file.

Btw, videoscoming soon.
