It's been awhile since I've used Blender, but I was going to suggest you check the normals before exporting as they may be inverted (under Shading, tick the "Backface Culling" box to reveal which way the normals are facing), but you should still be able to see them from the other side if that were the case, I believe. If that thing uses multiple materials, then you may need to recheck that you have a material assigned in Blender to every object that isn't showing up.

Might also not hurt to import the .fbx file back into Blender or some other program to see if it's an issue with your model, or if something's up with GGM, while you wait for someone who isn't as rusty as me to help you out

Go to material settings and tick the "double-side" option.

My guess is that you have these problems due to missing textures, in other words, the model is fine but just not fully showing because some textures aren't applied.

@ Casigus
It is an OBJ mesh?
If it is Sketchfab's titanic model, Synchro did a video with that one in a GGMax level, it should be on steam videos.

I've always wondered why animate simple movements like sinking?
A script could do this in very few lines, and be much more flexible.
Unless MAX doesn't allow things to sink in the water?
Maybe because I don't model, but script objects to animate?

There is a good chance that this model has way too many polygons to be useful as a single prop. How many polygons does this have?

@Casigus
I'm assuming that you have a working model (pre-animation attempts)?
At least that's how I read your post.
If that's the cases, and it's just animation (sinking movement) you need, then yes a script
should handle it- hopefully as I don't script in MAX, I have only scripted in GG Classic.

thanks for all your ideas and suggestions. ALAS ive not been able to get a sinking animation still, also forgive the frame rate, my pcs abit behind and just aboot meets the miniumn for max saddly. OTHER maps work great, but with the full titanic model it goes NOPE, anyway heres how it looks at the moment.

if the worse comes to worse, I'll have to have this as the levell with tthe sinking done as a cut scene. I really dont want to do that, want the experience to be something people will take with them.
