Um... ...i'm just going to go ahead and say it.
Theres no polite way to be specific, but that doesn't look like... ...rain to me...lol

Is there any plans to reduce the opacity of raindrops

or is it possible to access the sprite file and edit it myself

EDIT: None of the image files in the particle bank appears to show the offending sprites.
Is there a lua script i can add to the fpe file to reduce the opacity that way?

I would ignore the rain you see in Max as a new weather system is in the works.
No one ever really leaves.

Agree - the rain drops are nothing like rain - got messed up a while back for whatever reason.

The files you need to edit are here:
- Files / effectbank / particles / weather / rain-particle and rain-particle2 (both are png)

They still have the old rain there in atm: weather / old_remove. You can just copy them to the weather folder. Or make your own of course
Just remember you will have to replace them after every update .

Who knows.
This project has been on a slow go
They spent a quarter of a year on the ui which is so not intuitive
And thet start adding things that get demand that was not to be included then the was to be included doesn't get included
