Hey, ive been seen this name "detail map" all over recently. Can someone explain whats the use of this map and how do i use it? Im waiting

In GameGuru a _detail texture is simply a seamless tiled noise texture that overlays the model, it's for adding things like dirt.

All you need to do is put it in with your other textures and name it : nameoftexture_detail.format so for example if you had textures called BricksBanter_color.dds your detail texture would be BricksBanter_detail.dds

Yeah it's in the PBR pipeline for classic, only issue is the pipeline for detail is the same pipeline as illumination, so GG checks to see if there is an illumination/emission texture and it will only display detail if there's no illumination texture.

Not as far as i know, however one of the terrain slots is a variation slot (i forget which one) which you can add a variation map to that can paint extra details on the terrain. Someone else will have to explain that one though, i've never used it.

there is also a terrain palette.pdf in \GameGuru\Docs folder that i did in 2017, probably needs updating
