Hello everyone, I am brand new to GG bust so far I am loving it. The only issue I have run across is importing my custom assets. Either they come in with geometry missing, or GG tries to import them as a new character.

I created a stylised tree with animated leaves, and GG wants to import it as a person. I have no idea what I am actually doing wrong. Any help would be appreciated!

GG thinks it has bone animation. GG trees use a shader to move the leaves.
Take a look at one of the trees in the mega pack 3 stuff and note the shader is apbr_trees.fx
No bones to make things move.

Thank you for the information, I understand what you're saying, it essentially a shader script animating the tree leaves. My next question would be how do I apply that to my own tree model? I don't see an option n the properties to edit or add a .fx file?

You will need to open your fpe file in a text editor and add that to the
effect = effectbank\reloaded\apbr_tree.fx
Line of it.
Best would be at that point is delete your existing one, and the associated .dbo file, and reset it into the editor.

Thant worked a treat, thank you! Now I know that moving forward, it should be a lot easier for me to make modifications to my models.

Thanks again!
