Recently I bought the McFly screen space ray-traced gi addon for ReShade, I made a quick demo to show the capabilities even in gg classic. I bet you can guess the before and afters, reply with suggestions of what to do with this.

If GG MAX lighting disappoints this may make up for it when standalone saving is added.

lol man, raytracing in gameguru.

How did you purchase it? I think you have to be a patron or something? Ive used reshade a lot in the past. This is definitely interesting.
Would love to see this in more complex levels like in my game.

I am a patron for $5 a month. You can search Pascal Gilcher on Patreon. Also anyone seeing this can just send me their game/level and i can show screenshots.

Thanks Mr.WitherStorm for making this thread, I had no idea it would work with gg.
I thought about it a few times in the past but never tried it.

Looks cool, but a little dark. Still, gotta be a good thing and nice to see GG can be upgraded with a 3rd party tool Does it improve speed as well as the overall look?

The nature of ReShade is just post processing injection. It doesn’t actually alter any of the softwares processes so it can’t improve performance.

no it doesnt. The framerate decreased by 10. I have an RTX 3070ti tho - could be much worse on lower end gpu's.

And I agree, its dark. I gotta admit tho that I didnt design the levels for the reshade, I just threw the reshade in and took some pictures.

Two things. MartyMcfly the guy who made rtgi, also has an advanced color-grading and bloom function called regrade and Solaris. These can be used to get any look you want really. As well as with a 3070ti the lag would almost be mostly game guru bad optimization I’ve used this in games like mirrors edge catalyst which is very demanding and I barely lost 10.

Flat surfaces work much better with the reshade as it can be seen here:
