My PC wants me to update to Windows 11, I really don't want to as this would more than likely make a lot of my software not work properly. The main question is, what is the state of classic and max with compatibility to Windows 11?

To be honest if you have the latest Win 10 update 20h2 its probably mostly Windows 11 now all but the features and look. They have been prepping for the update for some time now and pretty sure they are not going to just smack it on and hope for the best. No doubt 10 has a lot of it incorporated already for a smooth transition..

Been using Win11 since it was released to insiders - I don't have any software that doesn't work, including MAX and Classic.

When I use the computer at work that is running Win10, I can't find any reason why I would want to go back to it.
But it does remind me I don't miss it at all

Microsoft tells me I'm unable to run W11 because of the lack of the TPM 2.0; surely it should be disabled, so, I have to enable it via BIOS, however, I'm not interested in it, at least not yet. I guess you'll have to add extra hardware to run most of the W11 features, I'm not willing to do so; so, I gonna wait to see what happens.

I had to enable mine to pass the compatibility test ... However Installing from a USB stick or ISO fresh it makes no difference whether its enabled or not. It still installs.

But, if you do so, you don't be able to get updates, that said Microsoft. The main goal relies on a super safe environment, and that needs to have the TPM 2.0 already enabled.

Actually mircosoft them self released a guide to by pass the TPM check for installation, needing and wanting TPM is completely unnecessary.
