GGmax works really well in 4k resolution, the terrain looks beautiful, but like some others here I am getting 30fps with just terrain on 4k and HD 1080 resolutions. My card is an EVGA 8Gb GTX1070ti.... I know there is a lot of optimisation going on so I'm hopeful it will go back to the 60fps of previous versions. Not sure why it dropped though. The terrain now renders a lot quicker from after clicking test game, i'm in and running around in a few seconds.

I have stopped using max for the moment due to drastic frame rate drops as of late.

However I did notice that placing one of my building entities and placing my start marker on the building my frame rate essentially doubled. If I were to guess there is either a memory leak somewhere or issue with the physics, I would check github and check if there is an issue related to this, or email lee and report the issue with the frame drop, as it is quite horrible.

Will do WoI. I will check out if adding a building and start marker make a difference for me too, thanks for the tip.

Pretty sure Lee has said that the slowdown is due to the physics mesh for the terrain at the moment and is looking at a way to reduce it down to get speed back to snuff. So if you are standing on an object makes sense it will speed up again.
SPECS: Ryzen 1700 CPU. Nvidia 970GTX. 16 Gig Memory. Win 10.
