I think this has been asked, but, is there anyway at all that GameGuru can be forced to run at 1920x1080. The reason I ask is I have just bought a new 4k monitor and would like to run GG classic at HD not 4K, I have a GTX1070ti so it handles it ok, but I prefer HD for Classic. I'm guessing the only way would be to set windows 10 to HD before I run Classic.

What happens if you go into setup.ini and set width to 1920 and height to 1080?

Unless Classic has been updated to do so in last 2 years since the source was closed, it won't work, only way is as Tarkus mentioned.

It took a lot of engine updates to make resolution changes work.

Please let me into your secret because i have a 1070ti on my spare machine and i wanted to use it as a media machine on my 4k tv but get about 20fps on the desktop. I asked about it on various tech forums, and all of them stated that you need a bare minimum of a standard 2080 or a 1080ti for 4k and even then it's not recommended, and i was reading the specs on my 3070 box (my new machines card) the other day and it's got a big ole cross next to 4k with the highest resolution recommended for the 3070 being 3k lol.
Primary Desktop:
i7 7700,k NV1070 8GB, 16GB 3200mhz memory, 1x 2TB Hybrid, Win10.
Secondary Desktop:
i5 4760k, NV960 2GB, 16GB 2333mhz memory, 1x 2TB Hybrid, Win10.
Primary Laptop:
i5, NV1050 4GB, 8GB memory, 1x 1TB HDD, Win10.
Secondary Laptop:
i3, Intel 4000 series graphics, 6GB memory, 1x 500gb HDD, Win8.1.

I can run CRYSIS 2 and Fallout 4 at 4k resolutions, Fallout 4 stutters a little bit sometimes, but CRYSIS 2 runs very smooth, not on ultra but some settings V High and High. My CPU specs are in my details below. My GTX 1070ti has 8Gb of ddr5 and the EVGA app says it's a GTX1070ti Black Edition ???? Other than that I don't know much. It's certainly waaaaaaaaay faster than my old GTX 970.
