I'm trying to make a side scrolling game in GG, but can't seem to find a way to lock the camera view to the side and not behind.
Is there a script for this or anyway of doing it at all?

(I posted this in scripts, but then noticed I had to provide evidence that I had at least worked on it (Which I havn't) so I thoughtt I'd post it here instead)

Not that i am aware of but then posting in Product Chat doesnt help either if your after a script.
As long as you have made some kind of effort to at least look for one then im sure someone would help.
Setting the camera is easy in third person \ isometric \ side view in the third person view settings.

What you really need is to lock the Mouse once you have set your Camera view and use keys to move left, right, Jump etc and i know there is a script around for that.

Cheers for that .

I’m presuming with 3rd person view, you mean in the editing view in properties? If so I don’t see isometric? Am I missing something or looking in the completely wrong place?

The options are in the 3rd person player properties.

Do the following:

Camera Locked: Yes
Offset Y: 50
Camera Distance: 600

Then you should have a game that looks like Mario...

Locking the camera in 3rd person only locks the up down movement as far as I'm aware. You will also need to freeze the camera in lua (SetCameraOverride ( 3 )). That is for angle and position, you can change the value to affect just angle or just position.

This shows the camera being manually controlled. It is for certain possible.

One I did a lot longer ago using 3rd person controls and locking the camera in place.

Cheers DV, but as I mentioned before. Scripting isn't my thing because I just can't get my head around it.

So if possible, which script do I so into to change the camera view?
