When GameGuru first was released way back, even before we had free flight mode editing, remember that? I started on a game called "Lost in Time" due to lack of skill on my part this was to huge a project and GameGuru was still evolving so it got shelved.

Now though using GameGuru and IFVN to create visual novels, it will resurface again, albeit in a slightly different form.

Using GameGuru to create scenes for the backgrounds and maybe a few characters. See the first few screens below.

Who knows might move it to Max once things are a little more stable

Interesting to see people tackle different kinds of projects with GG, even if its "only" used to generate background pics.

Yeah, while I'm waiting for Max to be a little more advanced, I still use Classic to create some detailed scenes and grab the images, and use IFVN to create the story. It's a real timer saver.

The story is plodding on here, done another screen shot here, and currently working out how all the conditions work in IFVN to create health etc.... the story is unfolding in my head now, and writing some of the location ideas down for later too.

Very interesting way of using Game Guru. I recall there being a graphic digital novel way back that I read that was made in FPSC.

While it is possible to make a graphic novel like this entirely in Game Guru using the text commands and camera repositioning, it would mean picking up a bit of Lua for that.

Thanks Teabone - Gameguru is just perfect for doing small, highly detailed scenes and grabbing the stills.... and IFVN is great for creating the VN, excellent combination for me at least.

Nice one Tarkus1971. And like they said-- creative.
I noticed the 'iFVN' Novel engine which I had never seen before. How do you like it, have you tried any others and does it compare? Just wondering how this project is coming along?

Yes IFVN is ok, at 1st the devs were pretty good but there are a few niggling bugs in IFVN which have yet to be fixed, so for now this is on pause for a while, I am getting used to MAX and using SHMUP Creator to make a retro style SHMUP, and this is going really, really well so far, sorry for the delay in replying.
