HI I have just done a new verify update and Max terrain now works..
Loaded Max and just pressed test level and I am walking on the terrain..

When you reach the edge of the Yellow Edit box you are stopped and a message displays..
'You can't leave the play area.' So you are contained inside the edit box..

I am doing more play testing ..

That's a shame, if a permanent addition, all that tiling terrain work to 'only' provide a decent horizon view at map edge limit.

Looks like flying games off the table at the moment. Damn was getting excited at the possibilities ....

OK - spoke too soon.. Once you save you terrain level and then load it backup Press Play..
and you fall through the terrain..
With the message showing .. you can't leave the play area... but you can't stop yourself.. ??

We will need:
a- The possibility to make the whole game on the same map. That implies the ability to mixing terrain themes on the same map.
b- The ability to really jump from one level to the next in test mode, so, we can test the levels behaviors, when in standalone mode.

You reach the winzone, then some sort of screen off, and jump to the next level. (in test mode, of course)

Probably because saving wont work until the terrain has been fully implemented.
The only person ever to get all his work done by "Friday" was Robinson Crusoe..

Train is broken?
In the early spring of consciousness, when the first inklings of terrain thoughts
sprouted forth from the void-- and into revelation, the presentation LOOKED LIKE
(near be it) endless terrain we can supply for levels. Would have to review the
Youtube episode on that...
Now- don't hate on me too much, but I like creativity!

Yeah, have to agree there. Tis kinda pointless having huge map when we can only us a small part of it.
Lets hope this can be changed at some stage. Even if you could just have other editable areas that you could teleport to would be better than small patch in an ocean of terrain.

Is is the first draft, so we just have to see where it goes.

btw
You can now save and load the terrain and it retains physics so you can walk on it within the editable area - just verify your build for the fix.

+1 on more terrain

After the info today i hear he may contemplate having mkre than what is available but i believe he will have physics do similar to the terrain and so that would be good i think if im not mistaken have collision only work within a radius to the player which would totally help with load times speed etc. That is what im reading. And he is open to this. Which means you can have planes space games boats and ships cars etc you cam probably do a gta game now and zombie games etc. But i think survival games exploration games rpgs simulators and samdbox space games would work if you get the freedoms maybe

Get the physics working how he wamts then you can get options as in terrain off or on get set distances as in map size that type of thing.
So far they are ticking a lot of boxes
1. Large ace terrain
2. Better up to date graphics
3. Character creation is getting better hoping they keep adding parts or allow to change thimgs
4. Made. It great to import,
5. Lots of extras multi grass
. better sculpt tools. Have many things in the pipeline to totally destroy classic
6. Better navigation and ai
7.better alrhough i not really looked at the flowchart ai amd stuff
8. Groups amd lighting extras and moving lights
9 particles
10 awesome clouds
So far its as if tgc have suddenly realised that they have made mistakes and finally they are getting it right

Just need to know if you can have load zones. As in you go to a door and open then it loads in a new level then if ylu go back to that door you load back to the previous level with everything saved between the levels?

Lee did mention that it would be possible to go back and forth between levels.

Simply select your terrain and adjust the sliders to your preference.
All to the left for flat terrain
