Bullguard Internet Security says the Max Updater is a virus, even flagging as a false positive prevents updater from running, only way to install it was to disable antivirus, not ideal, anyone else had this problem.

Avast does the same, it has been a common problem with TGC products over the years, enough so that I preemptive add it to the avast ignore list.

I am no familiar with it.
Anyway, I had created a rule for GG and >GGMax on my AntiVir, so, I don't have that issue.
I think you are getting issues with this part of the software:

Quote: "Vulnerability Scanner

Prevents applications that might contain malware from automatically downloading and checks the authenticity of applications and drivers by verifying their digital signatures"


I think they have a live chat, there you can inform them about the false positive.
I think they are working on the virus protection from their own cloud.

Im not even sure how the Tiny installer is downloadable ..
Usually W10 flips its lid if you try to download any .exe
The only person ever to get all his work done by "Friday" was Robinson Crusoe..

Thanks, seems to be ok, now I had to disable while installing the tinyinstaller, now downloading the 25Gb of files, keeps erroring, so have to stop and restart the process, is this normal? My connection is fast fibre, so I don't think its this end?

Why not just grab the core first ..
then grab what asset packs as you want to try them out.
