Hi

Some time ago I said I would write a small piece on how to make money using GameGuru to produce educational and fun games for kids. This market is huge and totally international. Maths ETC is basically the same in most countries throughout the world. So I thought I would use my knowledge from being part of the original team at EduTech Systems Ltd (now within another company) that sold educational software in to 40 countries during the late 90's and through much of 2000's. Customers? Well anyone that has a child (aim at around 3-10) plus education groups, schools ETC.

Anyway I will complete the writing in the next couple weeks and make it available here as a pdf for anyone interested in turning their hobby in to a bit of cash generation. In it I will give ideas of the type of things that sell in to that market. Where to generate ideas. And possible marketing routes. There are some great script writers in the community so really almost anything is possible.

As part of the above I have started producing low res static objects that could be used in the making of these educational games. Below is a picture of a 'Wild West' theme with some of the wagons in the series. Hope you keep watching this thread.

Interesting to find your post grobyken, because that is the genre of my aspiration to pursue.
Here I am about to post a request, well ... I'll do it in my own thread!
Happy trails!

Hello Everyone

I have attached a link to a short 2.5 page pdf file to this post which is Part One of my suggestions on how to make GameGuru and your talents as artists and creators pay. The articles are aimed at those on the forums that use GG anf GG Max rather than people like myself who only produce assets for the engines.

OK attached is Part Two. I have also put a link to the voice generation with the example I mention in Part Two.

Below are three examples using the free Amazon AWS Polly system. These are straight downloaded and not subject to editing using a program such as Audacity.

https://elliseran.com/Article/Polly1French.mp3 This one uses Google translate. This is usually OK for short phrases but really goes wrong if translating long text. So use with care.

https://elliseran.com/Article/Polly2.mp3 This one sounds a bit stiff.

Amazon Polly also supports SSML Tags so if you enjoy a kind of simple scripting then it's worth looking at the available tags at https://docs.aws.amazon.com/polly/latest/dg/supportedtags.html. Talkia, the product I refer to in the article above claims to be working on incorporating these to their software. Time will tell.

Here are some examples of tags in use. The first two cover breathing and the third shows News Reader mode. I would need to remove the tags from the start and end of the audible copy of the third which for some reason are being spoken. Audacity to the rescue.
