Many people are requesting this and its honestly a basic feature of a game engine that is missing.
Has anyone ever tried to tackle this?

Maybe with a launcher or something? It has been done with fpsc so It should be doable with gg too.

No I am talking about the abillity for non gameguru users (who just play my games for example) to easily customize their keybindings without having to edit a text file or anything else

Yes, it would be nice to have some keybindings settings in standalone menus, in fact, GG should have some sort of standalone settings window.

Yeah this will be handy however there is no terrain etc yet the binding would be fantastic and im surenwhen they have almost all the engine completed then the options and set ups and all that this will be a must have
Im 50 now aint a kid travelled the world been in terrorist bombing shot at near kidnapped. Have an audi a house a fiancee a cat and ex dj and promoter and now home Manager. Have a degree and lots of quals and this is actually all true

I am pretty certain i could add key bindings to a Menu Screen, the best screen to utilise would be the about screen and call it 'Controls' or something similar, let me think on it, I will finish xConvert and then see what I can do

Yes, a launcher app could make this easily accessible. Kind of amazing that we don't have it in the software itself given that its just a simple edit to the setup.ini the program needs to do
