Hello GameGuru enthusiasts!
Lately due to events known to everyone I’ve had too much time on my hands sitting and working from home. Some time in January I decided that I should make use of it and started creating a game in GameGuru engine. It took until now to complete everything but it’s finally in a fully playable state.
Starallax Tipra game is available on GAME JOLT [free of charge]

Info on the game:
Title: Starallax Tipra
Genre: Adventure / Puzzle / Shooter
Supported languages: English & Polish
Play time: 2-3 hours
My goal was to create a small space adventure type of game but actually what I ended up with is quite a large project especially for one person to develop. I have also spent many hours debugging it after completion because of implemented custom mechanics. In short here is
a list of what you can expect:
- Custom battery mechanics to defend you from cold of the foreign planet
- Journal
- Inventory
- Custom Medipack mechanics
- Custom objectives system on radar
- respawning enemies
- enemies dropping random items
- provide code to open doors mechanics
- put switches in correct positions to open door mechanics
- quests for gathering items, escorting characters, eliminating enemies
- story with characters, dialogue and 2 alternative endings
- long loading times
I hope that all the time that I took to make sure that the game is working correctly pays off and there is no game breaking bugs. Of course there are still some that exist - some due to weird behaviour of GameGuru engine and some are probably my fault but I have no idea how to fix them. Anyway all that I know of are minor and don’t prevent anyone from playing it.
To make it even more interesting the whole game is implemented on one huge map and as far as I can tell it’s working quite well. I know that the loading time is a bit long but on my computer it takes about 2 minutes which doesn’t seem to bad considering how GameGuru handles loading.
I would love some feedback from you guys! let me know what you think!
Best regards,
Krupar
