Happy New Year

I have seen a couple of posts about forum searching, no disrespect intended to the forum creator but it does not work well, so i have created a desktop App that will search the Forums for any keyword using a Google API.

This will be included in Asset Manager

just download extract and run any problems let me know

@PCS thank you
As far as Avast it is renowned for false positives, if you are running Windows 10 a third party AV program is not as good as Microsoft built in AV it does a lot more to protect your system than blocking genuine software

Totally agree with Kev here, MS have done a lot of work to their security suite since windows 10 came out and at the moment third party AV's (apart from expensive top end security software) are pretty much just bloatware that causes conflicts.

Got to agree
Just built myself a new system and its the default MS protection for me this time.
As stated its far superior than it used to be.

Hmmm... haven't had any anti-virus program running actively
on any of my computers for (?) 10+ years?
On a very rare occasion I scan something with Malwarebytes...
No problems yet-- who wants to hack this poor old nut?!
Now don't get any ideas!

Yeah, just Windows Security here . Been relying on it since Vista, and W10's works effectively and seamlessly.

The other tack-ons are just as bad as the viruses themselves (have been for years), bloatware, constant nags for more money, or just unnecessary blockers preventing useful stuff on your system.

It is easy to visit a dirty site or install dirty software and you'll have malware on your system, no need for a hack.
With Malwarebites you prevent this better than with win10 AV but in my view that win10 AV is certainly very good and i am using it also.

What was it they used to say about Norton Security
They make the virus in the morning and the Norton update in the afternoon
