Okay, so I tried.
Anyone interested in testing a reiteration of swimming
@ GamePlayerControl.lua?

There's a glitch in it that I can't track (camera wobble), but
just let me know... Also, it's okay to post change- ups here for
the forum done within GamePlayerControl- yes/no?

Will post the complete script...

I've been interested in the ability to swim for a long time now. I'm not sure about the copyright issues of posting the whole of GamePlayerControl however, others have posted that section of the changes they made to the "swimming" code.

don't see why not - it's no use to anyone without game guru... not like you are sharing the source code for GG itself

Yes you can upload the GamePlayerControl.lua
Just make it known users should back up their old first.

Well, we heard it from synchromesh!
Dig, a big (BIG) and deep pool, give yourself
plenty of health. Dive in.

I wanted something a little unique, but my son said it
should function like all the others. Boring to me.
Anyhow, can you get used to the movement?

---- edit - was it too big to make a snippet?

Okay, thanks 3com. Try again!

Share the LUA file rather than use snippets.

Tried it.
Lots of keys yet the "S" key is all I would really want as you can swim directional using the mouse and that part for me is great !!

@synchromesh
Yeah, understood. I wanted something a little unique, you can of course
easily change that key up to a different key.
The code lines are around ~ 1750's-1780's

The ideas for the other input was supposed to look like swim strokes...
now if someone wanted to put hud arms or something into the task! lol

Thread has been moved to scripts.

Will test this out when I get some time. The current swimming system is a half-baked attempt I threw together with the support of Preben mostly just so we could get the under water shaders into the build and the Water Height and properties tab added without it killing the player instantly in Test Mode. It for sure is no where near complete.

Breathing meter in GG, never had tried something like this myself yet.
Nice script GubbyBlips, you are advancing really fast on LUA.
