Hi, as Max will allow particles made with the TGC particle editor I'm wondering what license will we have? I.e. can we share our particles on the forums or even sell them? Or is it purely for our own use? - basically i want to know if it's ok to share some along with any scripts i make which may be using the particles?
The store listing would imply own use only but I wanted to check before purchasing.
Quote: "Once an effect is finished, you can export it and use it in your AppGameKit projects with the run-time code that adds the GPU particle functionality."

P.s. the particle editor is on 50% sale right now

or on steam but only good if you already own AGK studio (or want to buy that too)
Quote: "We had to warn people who did not own Studio on Steam. If they buy the Steam version of Particle Editor direct from TGC then they cannot use it because they don't own Studio on Steam. It's how Steam works between applications and DLCs.

I wonder if those particles made with AGK particle editor would be compatible with GGMax? Or if need some tweak to make it compatible with?
I guess the GGMax stock particles are made with that editor, if so, they are amazing, anyway, not all of them are working for me, and it looks like you can't use 2+ particles in the same scene, for example, I've placed some 2 torches and a fire stock particle in one and another one in the other torch, just the fire particles works in test mode, however, if I deactivate the fire particle then the other one works fine. Or course this might be because of the development stage, and it can be very normal atm.
Yes, we need someone talking to us about that particle editor in GGMax, when done.

I would like a particle editor integrated into GGMax.

Edit: typos.

The AGK particle editor works, I use it. Particles are v buggy right now in GG Max though and barely work. I'm wondering what the intended functionality is - can we attach particles to events, have them move, turn on/off, etc? I haven't heard anything on it yet...

Particles were mentioned and briefly shown in a GG Max livestream a few weeks ago. I bought AGK Particle Editor shortly thereafter, but I'm not exactly sure how TGC are going to make it work within GG Max. It'd be great if they could shed some light, but I've asked to no response.

yh i know it works as the new default particles are made with it - though the feature is far from implemented fully by any means
they should have at least the same functionality as in classic (to keep backwards compatibility) so you will be able to adjust them a fair amount but by script rather than visually

It should have settings, and those setting should be exposed via LUA.

I purchased Studio + Particle just for the particles editor, so I hope that will be quite straightforward at some point.

Yup, I also purchased the Particle editor and GG Max to make a future project once both work stable together. This was after these features were talked about on the live broadcast.

for anyone curious i got a reply from GaborD (the creator) and he said it's fine to share the .arx and .png files
so if you want to share your own particles you will find these in "media/export" from the particle editor and you place them in the "particlesbank" folder in your Max installation

It would be nice a better marker for the particles and/or the ability to don't run them in GGmax editor, like animations does. I'm getting issues to find the particle emitter marker, running the default particle, all the area are full up of those pink particles and I can't find the marker.
