Hello,
What's your Design Process?
Do you create a game design doc first?
Do you draw your levels first?

I picked up some graph paper and wrote down everything I could about a level that I'm designing. When creating the level first in game guru, the game got so messy and ugly.

Are there any books that you read for advice? I've been reading:
3D Game Environments - http://dl.booktolearn.com/ebooks2/computer/graphics/9780240808956_3d_game_environments_1d05.pdf

Fundamentals of Game Design.pdf - https://www.yumpu.com/xx/document/view/62466872/pdf-free-fundamentals-of-game-design-by-ernest-adams-download-file

Thanks!

Theresa very good course on udemy by Kevin Oxload called "The Art of Video Games", its a really good course that goes from the design process in detail to creating models, painting models, lighting, arranging scenes and more.

Neither for me its an idea and then prototyping things to see if they actually work.
