I’ve seen it pop up a few times here and there, but found no definitive answer. A while back someone made a game with GameGuru that featured hitmarkers (this one specifically,) and I asked the creator about it. He said he found it somewhere online but is unable to find it now (forums maybe?)
Does anyone have this script or a similar one, or at least show how to make one? LUA isn’t my strong point yet..

Building a new PC at the moment, so these are predicted:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600XT - 6 cores, 12 threads @ 3.8 GHz (not overclocked)
Memory: OLOy - 16GB (2x8) DDR4 @ 3000 MHz
Storage: Samsung 860 EVO 1TB SSD + WD Black 2TB HDD
Graphics: XFX Radeon RX 580 GTS XXX Edition @ 1386 MHz - 8GB GDDR5 VRAM

Maybe just explain what you mean by "hitmarkers" as I'm none the wiser after watching the blurry video which seems pretty standard GG fair to me.

A hit marker is the little cross/X thing that shows up for a split second when you hit someone.
Edit: Looks something like this:

Ah, ok. Missed that completely in the video.

I could probably write a script that does that.

hope you don't mind amen - i've modified it a bit to match the request video which makes the sprite change depending on if it's a kill shot or not.
p.s. to use the script you need 1 (now 2) images to change your crosshair - insert them into "gamecore\crosshairs\" as "crosshair14.png" (damaging hit) and "crosshair15.png" (killing hit)
and place the script on an alwaysactive = yes entity

Btw, I wouldn't mess about with the crosshairs in game core, simply add yuour own in scriptbank/images and change the script to reference them instead.

And here is a better version.
