Hi everyone, I was recently toying around with the files in Classic and noticed that the stock weapons have different firing sounds (1-4 IIRC), and took a look at the gunspecs and found no real difference to ones that have only one sound (example: EAI’s Enhanced Weapons Pack).
How would I go about modify existing gunspec files (if needed) to include these? I’ve tried for myself, but to no avail. For example, I’m not exactly happy with the Mk18 sounds in this video, as playing just one sound over and over doesn’t sound too good (at least in my opinion,) so I thought adding some variation in the sounds for it might make them more unique, and interesting to try. Does anyone know of a way to do this?

This is a guess but...
Name your fire sounds as Fire1.wav, Fire2.wav etc. Make sure they are 44,100 Hz, 16-Bit, Mono PCM Uncompressed. Then in your gunspec file, make sure sound1 = fire1.wav. It should pick up the other variations automatically and play them randomly when firing.

Got it, I’ll try it when I get back to my main PC (away ATM) and post an update. Thank you.
