Multiplayer / Does Gameguru MP support custom scripts?

Im really a noob on how gg multiplayer works on steam right now.

Can anyboy clarify me please if its possible to use custom scripts or its only possible to play deathmatch kind of games?

What will be able to be made that resembles a finished game, when creating a MP GG Max game? One large level (how large in Max?), no scripts, deathmatch, etc. Lots of limitations, but be clear what we can do so we feel you actually want us to use GG Max.

We obviously need to understand what you're making possible with the engine, or else there's no reason to consider it.

Multiplayer in Max will be exactly the same as it is now in GG classic, the only difference will be that instead of it being played via steam and requiring all parties to own gameguru, it will be played via photon servers and they won't need gameguru to play. That means unless they decide to make more changes later; no lobbies, death matches only, and no custom scripting.

It's the same with everything in Max apart from the features promised, it will be exactly the same functionality as gameguru classic. The key differences will be; 64bit, new rendering engine, new terrain editing tools (including various brushes, and the ability for the terrain to increase as you build), dynamic lua and new GUI. Other stuff has been added, and will be added, but the core functionality will be the same as gameguru classic.

Since standalone games are 1 map for multiplayer, how large can a map be? Can we make an 8 player super large sniping game or something similar?
From one of the devs - can you answer how many times bigger GG Max MP maps can be compared to GG classic?

Making a large map of a ruined city with many forests is what Im aiming for MP deathmatch now, but Im going to wait GG Max release untill I come back to work

My idea is pretty experimental but theoretically workable if GG is stable.

We need map size defined by the devs for Max. The 1-map Multiplayer Standalone game limitation makes it matter so much more. That's a game release that needs to make sense - a game with one map. It better be large, and this is what we need clarified.

dynamic Lua is what caught my eye

dynamic? So, not static, so anything goes, right?

I only dabbled in Lua when GG first came out, but I may have to dive into it with GGMAX just to see what we can do.

Dynamic Lua isnt what you think it is, all it means is you can add a line to your scripts which exposed your variables in your script to the editor so you can change variables in the editor, you will still have to write the script in the first place.

You will be happy to hear though, they have decided to add visual scripting now, so you will be able to use predefined script modules linked together from I the editor to do certain functions.

Nothing is clear about GG's MP. Nothing is proven, you have to try things for yourself to see.
Not very comforting but that's how it is, people here won't admit how cryptic GG is when it comes to actual features and what's possible with it.

Scripting is a no go for multi-player. It simply does not share any logic in that area, it's all local.

its supports scripts same way as non-mp, but u cant change the logic of mp itselft with scripting, making a csgo clone is impossible, planting bombs and so on
