Hi! New user.Testing GGM Alpha 5.9.
I created a few simple objects and placed a few entities. I then proceeded to run with the character a long-distance doing a few jumps a few walks and then running again etc. Most of the time fine and then eventually the player character camera would jitter up and down. Tested this a few times and could recreate it every time.
I get the same with the Early Cellar Test level when running further away.

It’s not a bug , it’s just not finished yet . It’s only a Alpha build

Yeah very aware of the Alpha build status. But it’s still a bug Is the reason for Alpha and Beta builds not so that people can use it and report issues so that the developer can note it for a final release?

If you look at the top of the screen in Max, you will see a list of features below where it says "this is only an alpha build", those are the features that build is for testing, everything else can be seen as unfinished. It's good to report issues you see, but probably best to focus on the features they want you to test, it will make the work smoother for them as they will be working on their focus and not jumping back and forth between different features.

Your report Slapdash is not appreciated.
You will see this practice creep out in these halls pretty regularly
here on the forums. You will learn not to intrude upon the agenda
of the forum denomination- and maybe survive...

No, it's not that his report is not appreciated. It's just that the other posters here were attempting to help him understand what an alpha is. An alpha is not a beta because an alpha is normally not feature complete. A beta normally is (or is a lot closer to being feature complete). As a result, when testing an alpha, you should focus on testing only those parts of the program the developers want you to test and report bugs on the same. It's virtually useless to report a "bug" an a feature that is not implemented yet or is only partially implemented. They know the feature is not implemented or is only partially implemented, so they don't need to get a bunch of bug reports about it. However, all the other stuff? That needs a good going-through, bugs reported, etc.

This approach should change when MAX is finally released as a beta. Then, everything is fair game to test and report bugs on. Until then? It's alpha software and if you choose to test it, your focus should be on what the developers want you to take a look at.

Apologies, for the report. I did not expect regular walking to be problematic at this stage.
Where can I find the list of what is up for testing? Or a known bug list?

Best place to post any issues is the Actual ! Alpha 5.9 thread.

That way it will get seen by the Devs when they look for feedback.

Cool, Will post there but will rather wait for the Beta to see if it’s still there before posting the bug.
