This issue seems to only be happening on one of my levels, not all of them:

When I press the SHIFT key in the test game screen, I can see the gun move slightly to indicate that I'm "sprinting" but my character continues to move the same speed. Any idea why this is? And how do I fix it?

Have you made any changes to the player speed settings in the start marker?

I had made changes earlier in the game, but then changed it back later and it was working fine for a moment. It has since fixed itself somehow since I posted this. But I’ll leave it open if anyone has any idea what caused it.

From all indications (across the board of the universe of this forums)--
it appears that GG test game retains memory and doesn't dump it
or refresh it from previous tests. It's also not conclusive if the memory
is dumped with a reload level!
WHY??
A bit of an inconvenience if I must say so myself. More evidence of that here it seems.

Once you make the changes back are you re-saving the map ?
If not then its working as expected.
Chances are just dropping a new start marker in the map and re-saving would have rectified it.
