Can anyone help?

When I make a custom charater user the creator tool, it only has limited options for a stance. Ie: Holding a gun stance et.

How do I make it more neutral with hands down natural stance and then add it as a third person? because it will only let me add it as a 3rd person first, but then won't let me edit the character afterwards because I can't seem to edit the character first and then add it as a third person. I hope that makes sense?

You can alter the animations in the FPE of the object. So you can alter them to suit, however if using a weapon you are limited in what you can do unless you can move the firespot position. But I'm no expert on it I've played here and there with third person. All I know is it is rather limited out the box and not massively easy to alter even when you can write lua scripts.
I'd make a copy of the character object, fpe and textures, put em in a fresh directory and start playing. That way you won't have to worry about messing up the character you are editing.

Cheers Dvader, but I'm okay with producing audio. But when it comes to scripting thats a different ball game.

I'm certainly not gifted in that way lol

Hi there, had a quick chance to jump on and take a look at something that may assist.

- Go to your GGC CC and create a new character, name the new cc as; sample (i.e saved file name)
- Before bringing the new cc character into a map, close or minimize your GGC.
- Navigate to Files\entitybank\user\charactercreator, and swap/replace sample.fpe file with the one found in zip.
- Or use the following sample.fpe as reference and update your current cc.

This is solve your placement in editor to not see any gun, and also let you place on start marker for passive movement cycle idle/walk/run in tps.
Please note there is a stock frame adjustment needed on run cycle, I had a quick look , some adjustment still required.
Also noted; and I didnt check, though I dont believe the stock rig has a passive strafe. Keep this in mind.

Refer to adjustments in fpe with -- if wanting adjustment.
*remember gg needs restart to read updates on cc .fpe /or start/load new/saved map.

No scripting needed to edit the FPE, just notepad (although I use a program called Fpiedit), then you go to the bottom and change the frame ranges to suit the objects animations. If you know them of course I am thinking more custom npcs rather than CC ones though.

Defy's advice sounds good, as doing what he suggests will overwrite the defaults before GG makes a DBO of it when loaded.
