Hey guys,

I just realized that my compiled standalone volume sliders aint working. I set the Sound level sliders to zero, 50% and 100%, them for Music, them for both, and had no changes at all (music and sounds still playing at same volume).

Seems there's a few sound bugs slipped the net in this release. We still have the never reaches zero bug with sound as well.

It comes really sad when standalone games will never be finished on GG Classic, as Dev is focused on the new product. I'm also having frequently crashing reports, low fps rate on some PCs / Laptops. Not sure if my project will leave the "Beta" tag.

Do you ask their specs ?
I always say the recommended specs are now the minimum since the DX11 upgrade.
If your releasing something do not go for the steam minimum its never really been updated and ye on the minimum i can see that being a problem.

@synchromesh some of my friends tried on Laptops. They had low FPS, then runtime error on the first map change. I tried some stuff I saw on gg Forums, like the //define laptop from settings fx, reboot without other programs being started, installing lastest C++ packages, etc.

The weirdest part is that they have superior spec than me (they are above the recommended spec). I can play the full standalone in my laptop and they cant, and they can easily play games like i.e. The Division 2.

As for steam, the biggest part runs fine, but theres a small population that crashes.

I found on my backup a 2018 date version of sounds.lua (found on \titlesbank\default). I went to my standalone folder and overwrited the file created by compilation. It seems to be working now.

One more question: How do GG recognize somethings as Sound or Music? Because the loop command is being recognized as sound too, I thought that would be music.

I used the music.lua script, got it working, but even with full slider to 0, music still playing.

I can't be sure 100% as I rarely get into standalones, but I think it depends if it's a wav, ogg, mp3 etc. May also depend where you load it from (sound slot or global sound).
