Hi folks. I was putting an object into the map to see how it looked.
So it needed a little scaling adjustment. Suddenly it's frozen and
won't respond to any clicking-- but it still sits there as pretty as you
please. Dragged other items out from around it, cleared the area
and lassoed it 3x it's size several attempts worth. It's right on the
flat ground- so hmmm strange.......

Next, re-saved the map in new name, but it stayed put and didn't
disappear as desired. Still a solid looking ghost item. Wish it where
possible to go to the left panel and select rogue objects to remove??

Hi 3com. Yeah you're right! Not sure what spacebar does but luckily A> the map
wasn't extraordinarily complex at the time, and B> after shutting everything down,
and going back to it a few hours later, the item was activated again- so I got rid of it!
The item was just a cord in the DLC pack. Can you help entities?

It Unlocks the entity. You must have accidently locked it.

Yeah it's a feature so if you have a lot of objects around, you can lock certain ones so you don't keep constantly selecting the wrong items. I'd prefer a layer system myself. Right click you will see lock object. It then ghosts it out and until you press space on it will no longer be clickable.
