Ok, so I spend "again" a few bugs that look like it was a waste of money....

Who bought VR Quest?

I've bought it for the "special" price, and then I realize it looks almost the same as GG Max (Even the characters/entities) work on GG Max (Alpha 1)
So to me it seems that either GG Max was born after VR quest has been developed, OR they started with GG Max, and then VR Quest was born.

Which ever way....we all have to make some money somewhere...

My Question.... Who support VR Quest.. seems like absolutely NOTHING is happening on their website.. No Updates, Forum , news letter etc...

VR Quest was made for the educational sector, it was created under Licence by TGC, now that it as been released TGC are allowed to use the same technology and create MAX they are 2 totally different products.

Yeah, they took GG (now classic) made modifications and made it into VR Quest. Which did not go down well at all. You can read the whole UGLY story of it here.

MAX is like a spin-off from that.

And yeah, sadly you shouldn't have bought VR Quest - kind of wasted your cash there

@GraPhiX

Thanks for the Link. that answer some questions.

@OldFlak

I was interested in that because 99.% of all my software is for education use... and I thought it might be worth it... and then I order the early GG MAX.. and got totally confused.

But anyway.. good for TGC on that contract.

I purchased the Home Edition and TBH the asset content alone was worth it as its fully Max compatible.

Just curious can you add GameGuru assets to VR Quest?
I love the historical characters VR Quest has.
If one purchases VR Quest can we use it or the assets in our Game Guru and GGMax Games?
What would be the license for assets?
Can we make commercial products with this or is it just educational?
Looks like fun to play with until GGMax is ready. I hadn't realized there was a "Home" version.
If I purchase the Home version will $$ go to TGC or HamiltonBuhl? I would rather fund The Game Creators.

Looks like the original question has been answered, thanks everyone! The VR Quest Home Edition is owned by two companies, TGC being one of them, and revenues are split down the middle. Work on that side is being done initially in and for North America mainly, building the educational material up to something that both teachers and homeschooled students can use to help them find new ways to learn the curriculum. It's a little cutting edge compared to what is out there already in the academic space so it may take some time to grow, but early feedback has been good and it will be interesting to see the take up of Virtual Reality and Home Schooling in years to come. There are no plans to make the two products 'officially' compatible with each other, and no plans to transfer assets from one to the other. We will be creating whole new characters for MAX, starting with blood-hungry zombies (which you will agree have no place in a product for school-kids).
GameGuru Classic will continue to be supported with bug fixes and functionality additions.
