Just see this on IndieGoGo

Don't you think the guys who paid for the very first alpha need to be mentioned?

Now on the advert they said if you buy the Enlightened Guru you get mentioned and receive all this "extras"

I'm pretty sure 99% of the guys who bought the early Alpha release 3 months ago, already have all the mega packs etc etc etc.

So actually the one's who "really" try to support TGC in helping with the early releases, just get left behind....

just my 2 cents

Not really .. Well at least it doesn't bother me anyway.
If it bothers you Email Lee and ask him to stick your name in.

I think it's tooooo early to start a project on indiegogo.
There are no kickass screenshots of the new engine, so people can get a wrong first impression.

@synchromesh

No it don't bother me at all....

I actually left a comment about this, but rather delete it before posting....

Sorry bringing it up... just thought about the people who support it since the early days...

rather keep my mouth shut.... in the future.....

Not sure what your getting annoyed about ?
You asked a question and gave a I reply on how I felt about it.
Others can make their own opinion but I doubt many will be bothered, The idea is to attract a new audience.

However your comment suggests your not happy about it .. Hence my reply.

So ggm is now going onto indiegogo with no doubt enticing extras. I think you need to offer all places of sale the same offers. If you did this most of your buyers from here would at least get the chance for more packs or at least be offered im missing a few packs and that would entice me. I am not buying from indiegogo and to be honest the enginenis ridiculous cheao already im more impressed ggm as lowered its actual worth if what they say will be in and they deliver as promised.. Then more fool tgc the fact they are soo cheap goes against them as less revenue means that they will sell cheaper even more etc. So i think re price on other sites and make here the cheapest. At least its not 50 pound plus which i paid for the original not really met its promise gg. But then on reflection 50 for 8 years of learning on a new to me engine was value i guess and 20 is a steal really if they deliver
an unquenchable thirst for knowledge of game creation!!!

I think Campaigns like this always offer lower deals initially and plus the fact TGC have frozen the current price until the pandemic has passed. So hopefully it will return to its original price after.
This will make those who did buy on Indiegogo feel they got a good deal and GGM will be back to its true value

We will have to wait and see how long this thing last, frozen price might be for at least another 3 months.I do think, it is perhaps the wrong time for crowd funding, pretty much every one is on some sort of reduced working hours, pay, or no income at all, and it is just going to get worse, in the coming weeks.

So not so sure whether this will work or not, the 40 odd days is hardly enough time under these conditions

Realistically this can be a handicap for the project.
However, I prefer to analyze the situation from a more optimistic perspective:
Many people today are forced to stay home, which leads you to find a way to spend some of this "free" time, and GGMax is a good option, and in some personal situations $ 20 doesn't make a difference.
Furthermore, GGMax can be a tool that allows you to recover your investment and even earn an extra dollar.
And if we talk that the home economy is resentful of the current situation, then it is a good time to reinvent yourself and look for other lines of economic income. imho.

Different people have different situations. Hopefully it will go well, we'll have to wait and see. Personally during this crisis, money wise i have been better off, i'm still working, and because it's such a pain having to queue for the shops i'm only buying what i actually need, which means it's pay day tomorrow and i still have (after rent and bills) almost 80% of last months wages, usually the last couple of days before pay day i'm counting pennies.

I keep all the pennies I can in a small plastic box for difficult times; but in my house everyone reaches into my box, everyone, except me.
