In the Netherlands we are in lockdown and it will last until june for now, so enough time to be busy with GG.
For me, i'm getting better with the day and feeling less tired now, but many members of my family are having flu like symptoms.
Crazy times indeed, because there is no way of knowing if this flu was, or is due to cov19.
We'll just act as if it is and thus stay home, better to be on the safe side.

That's not quite correct. The UK isn't in full lock down quite yet (unless it's changed since last nights PM announcement). You are allowed to leave the house for the following reasons:

- Shopping for basic necessities such as food and medicine. Shopping trips should be as infrequent as possible
- One form of exercise a day such as a run, walk, or cycle. This should be done alone or only with people you live with
- Any medical need, or to provide care or to help a vulnerable person. This includes moving children under the age of 18 between their parents' homes, where applicable. Key workers or those with children identified as vulnerable can continue to take their children to school
- Travelling to and from work, but only where work absolutely cannot be done from home

(this is for the general populace, there are different restrictions (mostly voluntary) in place for those on the extremely vulnerable list, and the NHS will contact them directly)



I assume you are in the extremely vulnerable category have received your letter from the NHS instructing you to isolate for 12 weeks, that's a bummer, hope it all goes well for you.

Similar situation in Michigan. We're currently in a 3-week lockdown, State-wide. Keep your immune system boosted, and drink plenty of water, as well as getting plenty of rest and sleep.

Lock Down starts Thursday here in south Africa.

Yeah, Australia is almost in complete lockdown, 1000's have lost their jobs and are on the stimulous package from the government, only go out for essentials is the best thing to do, starting to use law enforcement to get people to practice social distancing in some states.

Don't go anywhere unless you really need to even if you are allowed!

I'm at home working on my project and I'm very happy with the results so far, I've hope to publish something here as far as possible.

I want to share with the community the situation in my concentration camp in Russia. At the moment, my government has set up crowded places for cross-infection in the form of metro lines and pass points. This is real genocide. The police beat pensioners and kicked them into cars for going to the nearest store for groceries.

Most hospitals refuse to accept seriously ill and injured people. (One example is the refusal to hospitalize an elderly woman who fell from the second floor).

The police grab everyone in a row and write crazy fines in violation of the law in order to report to their superiors (they have some kind of competition who will write the most fines).

Police officers beat parents in front of young children.

There is absolutely no help from the state to any of the people, even if you are unemployed.

The President announced the introduction of preferential mortgages at a rate of 6.5%.
Concessional loans were promised to enterprises but in reality they are issued only to businessmen loyal to the government.
The government also announced the introduction of a new tax of 13% on private deposits with banks if the deposit exceeds 1,000,000 rubles (approximately $ 13,300).

I do not know how to survive in this country ...

My posts were related to the fourth speech of the President of my country on unprecedented measures of support for the population allocated by the state since the outbreak. Let me voice these unprecedented supportive measures that personally consulted me. Since I did not have official employment, I turned to the state employment center for help in finding employment. I was registered at the employment center and two weeks after applying I was given unemployment status. I was assigned unemployment benefits in the amount of 1500r. I will convert this amount into dollars - 1500 rub = $ 20.2 attention, per month. The president from the TV screen promised all those with minor children assistance in the amount of 3000 rubles = $ 40.4 per month. But as it turned out, this assistance was intended only for those who lost their jobs after March 1, 2020, and only if you were officially employed and can prove it with documents.
My utility bills for the previous month amounted to 3,000 rubles = $ 40, and this taking into account the fact that I saved a lot of money in heating and using electricity. This amount does not include rental housing which in my village is $ 50. And the state offers me to somehow exist on $ 20.


Another cynical statement by the president, in an address to the nation, he announced a new holiday to be celebrated on April 28. It will be a celebration in honor of the ambulance worker’s day. I want to note that my post has nothing to do with asking for financial assistance, I just want people to know how things are in Russia in these days of the pandemic.

In fact, I have not yet described a lot in my previous post. What the police do is something incredible. Among them very often come across individuals who, with particular frenzy, are eager to fight with the population. In our country, there is a special internal army created exclusively for dispersing demonstrations and peaceful rallies. The name is Rosgvardiya. It currently has about 300,000 military policemen. (Most of them are young people) On the government procurement website, this structure announced a tender for the purchase of 57,000 offensive grenades. They recently purchased several hundred flamethrowers. In Russia, the population is very intimidated, all protests or rallies take place in an exclusively peaceful manner, but the Federal Security Services let out into the crowd as many provocateurs who commit unlawful acts to justify violent actions against peaceful demonstrators. They beat women, the elderly, and minors. Recently, before the terrible days of the pandemic, there were several significant cases. One young man was brutally detained a couple of kilometers from the place of the planned rally coordinated with the authorities and broke his legs. And the guy just went for a morning run.
Another case. Particularly demonstrative. The guy was tried for an empty plastic cup thrown towards the Russian guard and he was sentenced to several years in prison.
Russian actions are particularly peaceful protest in order not to give an occasion to the authorities to use force. But this does not stop them. Regime soldiers act with particular cruelty in arrests.

This was before today's rampant pandemic.

Of course, at the moment, Russian society has abandoned any political protests because of the pandemic. But already in the conditions of a forced regime of self-isolation and without declaring a state of emergency and in the absence of state assistance to the population, there were a couple of hunger riots that were dispersed. When the president addressed the people, one of the officials declared these people responsible for the spread of the infection. In biological terrorism, one of the organizers of this hunger riot has been declared, and he faces life imprisonment. At the same time, the state does not recognize its own responsibility for organizing cross-infection of people during the introduction of access control at the entrance to the metro and in the organization of queues for obtaining travel permits.

Even in the best hospital in Russia (Kommunarka), which was redesigned to fight against COVID-19, doctors are deceived and do not pay them the promised promised remuneration for their selfless and heroic work. Dismissing doctors record video calls to the government. Many hospitals simply have inhuman conditions. In one of the hospitals, sick doctors were placed in a room intended for drying clothes. They were there in unsanitary conditions on three-tier beds put together from boards. And you know what happened after they recorded the video message and this became public? The head doctor of this hospital on television explained that it was most likely a production shoot, but made a reservation that he was actually not aware of what was happening.
Several chief physicians have already thrown themselves out of the windows of their offices due to the fact that their hospitals were trying to turn them into hospitals for combating coronovirus, but the chief physicians of these hospitals themselves stated that they were not ready to receive such patients and the doctors did not have protective equipment, but they did not listen and the doctors could not stand the pressure on them and could not assume such responsibility. The result is described above.
 But everything is even worse than I describe. Much I dare not write here. All the same, this is a forum where there are many minors.

If with direct payment is meant, social benefits, this is common practice and of course financial assistance helps the economy.
Those who lost their jobs can continue to live in their houses, pay the mortgage or rent and other bills, buy food/needs.
This helps the little entrepreneur to runs his business and adds to the gdp, without customers, no business and most likely a shrinking economy.
Money is the liveblood of an economy, hence it is not wasted if those who have lost their job are receiving social benefits and even companies are aided in order to survive this crises.

Everyone understands that payments are real and direct help to both people and the economy as a whole.
Only we are told that this is a lie. Our government openly considers Russians to be complete idiots ..

Many people have gotten and will get a stimulus checks from our Government, and yes its helping . And its not enough to last long.

Most are getting around $1200 to $2000 American Dollars.

The low interest loans for companies will really help and I am very happy they arranged those even if it too is only a temporary fix and doesn't take care of eveyone.

With regard to hospital bills they are not charging us for the Covid 19 Test , if you can get one.
But If you test positive and are hospitalized and lucky enough to have health insurance the estimated cost is $21,936 to $38,755, US Dollars depending on the cost-sharing provisions of the health plan.

If uninsured, expect to pay anywhere from $42,486 to $74,310 US ... in hospital costs.
I did some research and found those figures On CNBC 's web site.

Thing is, this world is never going to be the same.
Nature is finally forcing us to change or be extinct.
I hope that this is a change for the better.... a Trekkie optimist, lol.

One most important question remains.
People in USA who do not have insurance and currently do not have the means to receive treatment, will they be denied treatment or is there a way to get some kind of deferred payment or maybe a medical loan? Can there be such a situation that a person will be denied medical care?

Most of the time the people are treated and then sent bills after the fact. A federal law called the Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act (EMTALA) requires almost all hospitals to provide treatment to all patients who need emergency medical treatment regardless of whether the patients have health insurance. There have been and are some exceptions.. depends on the hospital policies.

If I understand correctly, a person in the United States will receive emergency medical care in case of a life threat. It reassures me a lot. Any life will be saved in the USA if it is in the power of modern medicine. The issue of money is not the most important in this case.
I am grateful to you for your time and information. Bad days for everyone, and I can’t even do creative work in such a tense atmosphere. My friends have always reproached me for thinking too much about things that I can’t influence.
For some reason, I am less concerned about my own problems than the problems of society as a whole.

I'm here in Canada (Toronto, Canada). We have been encouraged to stay home, however its not law. You cannot be outside with people who don't live with you, in close proximity. However, this hasn't really been pressured by the police. There are more police outside at times then there are citizens in my area. Yet I've not seen anyone get a ticket.

It's a ghost town here in our biggest city, everyone has been respecting the recommendations. We can go to stores whenever we like really though we must be at a distance from other people with a limited number of people under any roof of a business. Most businesses are closed but are starting to re-open.

We are required to wear masks and gloves in some stores. Especially big ones like Walmart. We respected the early recommendations early on which has led to good results. I hope the new cases of contraction stay low.. as they consider reopening. I honestly think its too soon to be opening some of the businesses around here. A couple of people here have COVID19 in my neighborhood.

The only good thing to come of all this is that violence has gone down. I was almost shot a couple of months back the gangs here have gotten so bad. But it seems all crime has stopped since the voluntary lockdown.
