Hi all. I am wondering if I can easily change a GameGuru app’s icon to a custom one. Are there any third party tools to do this, or can it be done internally? Thanks for any help.

I tried it one time with the resourcehacker tool, after that the game crashed always...
Should be possible (hopefully with max) when creating the standalone to use a custom icon for the game.

it's very simple, when I get a moment ( not at main dev machne at moment), I will show how.

the question is... do we really need to use an external tool to modify our standalone game icon?
I would say that should be part of the standalone creation. When you build your final .exe it should be possible to change that little icon.
I hope it will be possible in MAX.

Ok, reopened the thread to say that Resource Hacker works really good. You can edit the icons, program and company name, version, etc. RH along with GraPhiX’s asset manager would be your best bets if you want to make a standalone exe.

Thank you for the mention Asset Manager also allows you to change EXE icons BTW, I am currently adding font tools to the next version which will allow True Type Fonts to be easily imported into GameGuru, Menu Creator is also getting some needed tweaks to allow even quicker menu creations

I used to use Resource Hacker ( i think i mentioned it above ) but i have tried it via Asset Manager and it works just great. Easier even.
The only person ever to get all his work done by "Friday" was Robinson Crusoe..
