Hi guys,
I have a small level that is totally dark (and it's meant to be), almost all the light is done by the player's flashlight alone.
But I lightmapped it, and having almost no dynamic lights, all it gets is a wall with almost no texture, and even when flashlight is pointed at the wall, it's just a black space.
So I decided to leave this one level with real-time lights. How should I remove the lightmapping already done?

Backup your map first …

Rename the .fpm to .zip or .Rar
Open with whichever tool you use.
Delete the "Lightmaps" folder
Rename back to .fpm and your done.

Or start the lightmapper again and press escape when it tells you to do so the cancel (note this timing can be difficult as the system tends to become unresponsive and pressing at the wrong time can cause it to lock up completely)

Useful advice. Thanks both. I have a map I made under DX9 and the lightmapping is dreadful having moved the map to DX11.

Yes Smallg's way works as well but as he says its unstable and I have had occasions when checking the folder is still there ..
I actually find it quicker my way than loading GG, loading the map then running the lightmap process.

Running the lightmap process never did it for me. Delete and start again seems the way to go. . .Haven't yet.

LM is a broken component - hit and miss results....
Maybe it will get attention in bug bash - and completely removed from MAX....
