Product Chat / Examples of “designer-centric” games?

Now, I get that this is an ill-defined term, roughly translating to “the game the designer wants to make as opposed to what a potential player would want to play”, however I think quite a few games mix both a player-centric and designer centric-approach. The few heavily designer-focused games I’ve heard of have all been personal projects meant for catharsis for the person making it or to convey a message/story dear to the maker. I was wondering if anyone one had a good example of a game that has some measure of designer-centric approach. The few I can think of off the top

That list isn't accurate as all those games are heavily tested and changed before release.

I think some examples I can think off would be "Albion" (1995), "Arx Fatalis" (2002), "Gothic" 2000 and "EYE: The Divine Cybermancy" 2011.
