3rd Party Models/Media Chat / Can not use imported entity

I Am having problems with importing my 3D models: I import my Model (X format), the import process work PERFECT, I can see the object, scale it and even the texture looks good but when i save it as new entity I can not place it on the 3D world, it just does not work - I can see the icon of the new entity on the left menu but there is nothing in the 3D space!

Interesting. What texture format do you use? I ask this because .tga will not show up in-editor for me either.
Make sure its .dds.

It would be easier than trying to run through the whole procedure then I can tell you if I find the issue.

Sorry Wolf you beat me to it … but ye good point or maybe to high a polycount ..
The only person ever to get all his work done by "Friday" was Robinson Crusoe..

Hi synchromesh, I E-Mailed you the 3D Model (X) and the texture as PNG, I tried to change the texture to BMP but same problem... You can see the new entity on the left but not in the 3D world.

Hi Jacob
Well I got it in manually ( which I find easier ) but its on it side .. you may have to rotate in in your model program.
I will resend the file so you can see how I did it.
The only extra file is the " test.fpe " its a default one I edited with your model name and you can open it in notepad to take a look.

The only person ever to get all his work done by "Friday" was Robinson Crusoe..

Thanks for the help synchromesh, I Understand I need just to edit the FPE and link the X file.
Was the problem with the DBO file the GG importer saved?

If you export as .X then you really don't need to use the importer as .X is the default format for GameGuru.
Just copy and edit that fpe to suit it

That is getting really weird and annoying.... Sometimes it work and sometimes does not work at all. I Uploaded here model I tried for hours to get into GG but just does not work! (I Am using Doga-L3 which is very simple and easy to use and then convert WRL to X through Deep Explorarion 2)

Your model is working fine but its HUGE !!
You need to zoom right out to see it …..

The only person ever to get all his work done by "Friday" was Robinson Crusoe..

I Have a little bit annoying question.... I Understand GG doesn't work with objects that does not have textures (color values only) - right?
