I tested the option to free the mem between levels...
Its not working as it should be.
1. The loading times are longer.
2. There are entities missing in the next loaded level, building, trees, boxes, barrels...

So if you create a standalone game with GG, be careful using the option in the settings.ini
Well, I will not use it again for standalone games.

standalonefreememorybetweenlevels=0 (off) 1 (on)

Maybe someone can add this to GitHub bug reporting?

It's supposed to be longer, it's clearing your memory between levels so nothing is cached and GG has to load everything again from scratch.

Now that does potentially sound like a bug. Have they copied over into the entitybank of your standalone?

yes, they are in the folder.
I've tested it with both settings... standalonefreememorybetweenlevels=0 (off) 1 (on)
on = missing buildings
off = buildings there

Just for sake of test, can you try " standalonefreememorybetweenlevels=0", save game/exit game, and back again to " standalonefreememorybetweenlevels=1" and try again?

I've done that more or less already...
Started the game with "standalonefreememorybetweenlevels=0" played it, saved it, exit.
changed the settings to "standalonefreememorybetweenlevels=1" played it, changed levels... = missing entities (buildings etc.)

he said only till end of 2020. I dont think all bugs will be fixed till then.

So many people have stated " I would pay for this and that " 19 bucks now and you may be sorted.

At the moment its £19.99 +VAT ( sorry forgot the VAT although that may depend where you are ? )
In September its going to be around £45 to £50 so this seems like TGC isn't skimping on this one.

yes sure, I'll buy it. I would also pay much more for it, if ... it would be an up-to-date engine. with all the nice things from the games today...

Download does not need Steam. I'm currently torn between getting it as a download as I am used to Steam now lol.

I'd get it on Steam, that way you will have it as long as Steam exist even if TGC shuts down, whereas if you get it direct from TGC if they go ladies parts up and you forgot to backup you will lose it @:p
