Hello -
Am back after not using Game Guru for four years; just checking it out again and it seems like everything is the same: same UI, same characters etc. I was one of the early adopters, and thought that more content would have been added in the meantime - or is there something I need to do to install the extra stuff? Thanks

Your going to have to read up as its a lot since 2015
You have probably missed the Easy Build Editor etc .. We are now DX11 with PBR for starters.
But still loads to do ..

I would start here and scroll back to 2015.
Its a mixed bag of everything but rather you than me hunting it all down

Hey Gluteus!

So, what has changed? Performance has been drastically improved, I can run large forests at 60 fps now which is decent.
Stability has also improved, final games run pretty decent now.
Loading times used to be a pain but are now rather decent now.
We have PBR rendering implemented, something to consider if you are into 3d art.

Check out our WIP board to see what users are up to and get a good feel of the engine now.

As with any engine, you'll be mostly left to create your own content or purchase it. However, there is a big free DLC pack you can grab off steam to have a good basis to base your stuff on. Comes with extra chars as well to get you started.

Speed seems way better now by the looks. Overall most things have been improved significantly. I tested it last night actually and had a decent amount of trees plonked down, grass and about 50 high poly static characters. Ran at about 40 fps, but was at 60 with about 30 characters rather than 50. Can't remember the polycount, but they are very high poly; from makehuman.
SPECS: Ryzen 1700 CPU. Nvidia 970GTX. 16 Gig Memory. Win 10.
