Characters that get weapons assigned by the fpe need a limb named firepsot within the model. These are usually for guns as the limb has to point in the correct direction and be in the right place in the model so the character can hold the gun (in the hand)
Characters that use melee scripts often have the weapons as part of the model itself. So use a modelling application to add the sword in the correct place in the characters hand and check the animations still work. You’ll have to assign and weight the sword vertices to the appropriate bone in the model.
