I need help importing some models I found in a website. They came in .fbx files ( ready for Unity) and I used fragmotion to apply textures to each model.

But my question is, I saved these models as a single .x file in my computer and I don't know if I'm in the right track or if I need to do something else before this.

Wolf said something about unifying textures but I'm not sure how to do that.

Can anyone help me with this?

Edit: Okay, so I kinda managed to get it working, there are some missing textures and I can't select each model individually, just as a group.

Edit2: The textures decided to remove themselves, no idea what is going on.

If you send me the objects via PM, I'll look at them. I can not say anything like that. Can also be fbx.

Gamaguru doesn't have the ability to separate meshes within an object inside the engine like unity, you have to export each one separately in a modelling program to use them in gameguru.

Generally speaking : a single mesh file is a single model. You just grab 'em in fragmo, delete the others by removing their vertices, export and you then have them as selection. Also having several models attached per mesh will give you frustrations later with the lightmapper. A single texture per mesh...however, several meshes can use the same texture for optimisation. You can loosely call that an "atlas texture".

I know it can seem impossible at first, but try to stay motivated. Once you have it down you'll be able to import entire collections in minutes.

Here is a link to a simple command prompt tool if the built in importer is giving you grieve. All you have to do afterwards is make sure you have "effectbank\reloaded\entity_basic.fx" somewhere in there.

If you have trouble with this, you can also send me this mesh and I do it for you. However, try to import the other, smaller meshes you bought yourself, those should be easier to get started with.
