You cant, You need to convert it to an .x file. 3ds is an max file not supported by Gameguru...

You can convert a 3ds file to .x with the free tool "fragmotion"

Actually not so long ago you were able to import 3ds models exported from sketchup .. Then one day it didnt.
The only person ever to get all his work done by "Friday" was Robinson Crusoe..
