In Solar's game Zombie central, (link:https://forum.game-guru.com/thread/220974) they have a cell shaded look. I asked Solar an they provided me with an answer, but it doesn't work and I don't want to clutter that thread with questions. I delete the //'s before cartoon in my standalone's settings.fx file, but nothing shows. Just wondering if anyone would know why.

Hi Wut. Sorry I forgot to mention that you also need to make sure that the bloom is on. Seeing that it is a post-processing shader, in only works when bloom is activated, ie set higher than zero.

Hope that helps your question.

Quick questions: Is bloom working in your game?
Did you make sure that you made the change to the settings.fx file while GG was NOT running in the background?

Also, try this

" change the following line in the setup.ini in your base gamguru folder:

from
forceloadtestgameshaders=0

to
forceloadtestgameshaders=1

then restart gameguru completely"

If you make any changes to shader settings you have to change the above for them to come into effect. This will however make loading a test game longer because it's compiling the shaders every time, so once you have confirmed your changes work then change forceloadtestgameshaders back to 0 and restart gameguru so you don't keep getting unnecessary shader compiling.
