Yeah really good models for inside and out m8 thank you for those, I've been having a go at daz3D today and making up statues they come out at 270k lol so lots of decimation to do but the results weren't that bad although I need to darken the textures and make a more creepy one its not too bad




and the latest statue "Bitten" in dark and light marble

Made a Start on the final open map the west or kind of themed round 1300 America which would of been about the start of the Aztecs so here's the first EBE building styled in an Aztec sort of style

Thanks AM we do have some in a pack (the large monuments) so I'm contemplating retexturing them or whether to just completely build my own only problem with that atm is that the EBE structures when converted over to a .dbo are not losing the marker so I'm constantly trying to find something to hide them with :/ I could of course use the castle walls but wanted something slightly different for this level = no medieval castle so juggling abit atm.

After you convert ebe to a model just open its fpe and delete the line that references ebe, that should get rid of the marker.

Thanks Duch m8 a master of scripting lol I wish my level design I'm happy with most the time though , the ideas are still coming I've just nearly completed the modular Orc citadel maybe need to model some bodies on spikes in Daz see what they come out like



New menu update showing new class skills and factions
class skills work as follows if say the Hunter is within a certain distance of an animal a message will pop up to tell him/her so the Rogue sense is a similar thing for doors and traps (i'm sure you get the idea)
Factions start at 5000 if below 1000 that faction will become aggressive if above 9000 they will do better deals etc.

Well I'm back at it and as I love this story I couldn't let it just die and so attempt number 3 the first area is well underway and having to write all the scripts again has taken some time the most tricky one Amen Moses helped me sort today (cheers m8 your a star) but basically its similar to before you can collect pretty much anything, hunt anything, craft anything and of course rob anyone lol.
The main difference is that with this version everything regrows (spawns) etc so you can stay on each map and hunt collect etc as much as you want to get your crafting/merchant exp up
Anyways heres a first look at level 1 Grendel's Port to Grendel's Hold plus the east and west exits

It's been a long day trying to get this scriptset to work but finally it does "A tall Story" professions badge system. as you progress you earn new badges here's a pic of them all, need a little tidying but its now working. Next well when the new maps are done factions.

Couple of quick vids showing the now working collecting, crafting and profession badge system. Just basic item crafting at the start you make a dagger (you need this for skinning) a hatchet (place holder might change) for mining etc, and a bow and arrows, also basic cooking for health and or selling to merchants for merchant exp. p.s everything collected on this map will respawn/regrow

Cheers guys, two more bits went in yesterday, fishing (thanks to smallg) and the shipwright (yes you get to build your own ship to sail off to different lands all working with the prof and inventory scripts.

A first look at one of two dungeons on level 1 "Vlad's Hold" undead Templars roam the corridors here and a good place to test out the first rogue skill "Stealth" used to assassinate foes without detection, three more rogue skills to come "detect traps" ,"Rogue speed" and "Rogue regen"

Because I built the eastern and northern isles using the EBE i took it upon myself to completely rebuild the central isles "Grendel's hold and port". It's taken a couple of weeks to put together and with a very methodical approach it still has very good fps and it is very nearly complete. Just about another 10 shop scripts and some prettying and lastly the guards (because i want the entity numbers last for the scripting) obviously I couldn't show all the shops working because of the video length but you now can craft tons of items/weapons chop trees, mine for minerals/chemicals collect everything hunt....the list goes on anyways here's a quick look at it

Cheers GB just got the new magic system in place and updated the skills and profession menus updated, you can now craft you own staffs and get magic/sorcerer exp for little bonuses. The pics are showing all the badges atm but they appear each level after a certain amount of exp for each class, factions to come later

Nearly got the game built now, took quite a while to write the save, load and checkpoint scripts primarily because there is so many things you can do/collect/buy/sell now. There's still a while to go and weighing in a just over 4gb now for the standalone I think I'm looking at 5gb for the complete game. The standalone at least now is working and the fps is still good. Anyway here's the first draft of the game intro

This is the longest vid I've done so far as it would take hours to show all the progress (there's a lot) showing some collecting, crafting and the new systems storage (lumber) and banking. reason for this is if the player unluckily dies he or she will now lose items and coin, so best to store it in the bank or the relevant stores to keep it safe. not got to any kind of foods storage atm as it will spoil but I'm sure I'll maybe get to that after finishing this mammoth lot

Been along time in the making this one, I do understand scripting a little better now but AM and smallg pull in sometimes when I'm stuck (cheers guys) problem is with me I get a system in place e.g say gold then think hang on that's a bit dull so lets add copper and silver, then something else like a banking system and so on lol, same with the professions I started giving the player a badge now they get proper bonus's e.g speed, carry more weight, health increases etc etc. so its getting bigger and bigger and at the same time I have to keep an eye on the fps. All in all though I'm enjoying it again maybe as I not always frustrated with the scripting side and if need be I just take a break all weighs in at around 5gb so far. phew
